CELEBRATE DIVERSITY MONTH IN APRIL
Did you know April is diversity month? Established in 2004, it’s designated as a time to help diverse people gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other. Our planet is filled with a rainbow of races, spectrum, religions and orientations — all equal in every way. As we enter April, I’d like everyone to take some time to Celebrate Diversity Month. Take the time to INVOLVE yourself and others in learning about cultures, language, and peoples that are not part of your daily life. Involve your children, family, friends and neighbors; so that we may all gain a better understanding of our global family.

¿Sabías que abril es el mes de la diversidad? Establecido en 2004, está designado como un momento para ayudar a personas diversas a obtener una comprensión y un aprecio más profundos entre sí. Nuestro planeta está lleno de un arcoíris de razas, espectros, religiones y orientaciones, todas iguales en todos los sentidos. Al entrar en abril, me gustaría que todos se tomaran un tiempo para celebrar el Mes de la Diversidad. Tómese el tiempo para INVOLUCRARSE a usted mismo y a los demás en el aprendizaje sobre culturas, idiomas y pueblos que no forman parte de su vida diaria. Meeting Community Need
Last month, we had the privilege to bless 97 families from our food pantry distribution! With the collection from our food drive and the efforts of 3 of our partners who donated towards our food pantry, we had a large selection of fresh produce and canned goods! We hope to do a large food pantry like this every month. Bring a shopping bag when you come! We will continue to distribute food to the community two to three times a month. If you are in need of food, please send me an email at KassandraMarte@ymaryland.org or call the school number at (410)396-9090 and leave a message.
¡El mes pasado tuvimos el privilegio de bendecir a 97 familias con nuestra distribución de despensa de alimentos! Con la recolección de nuestra colecta de alimentos y los esfuerzos de 3 de nuestros socios que donaron para nuestra despensa de alimentos, ¡tuvimos una gran selección de productos frescos y productos enlatados! Esperamos hacer una gran despensa de alimentos como ésta todos los meses. ¡Trae una bolsa de compras cuando vengas! Continuaremos distribuyendo alimentos a la comunidad dos o tres veces al mes. Health
If you are in need of a Covid-19 test and do not have a doctors referral you can visit the University of Maryland's Urgent Care, they can provide you a test on site and do not require you to be an existing patient or bring a referral slip.
Registration
Registration is by appointment only from 9:30am-1:00pm Monday-Friday. We are not accepting walk-in registration. Please call 410-396-9090 to set up an appointment. If all documentation is in order, your child will be able to start classes the next day, except Thursday and Friday registrations. Those students will start classes the following Monday. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
